We are happy to introduce a new yacht in the fleet where we have become an agent for, Volvo 70 Kraken.
Kraken is joining in all kind of different events in 2020. You can choose from 2 races still available in the Caribbean, 11 races in the UK, the Rolex Middle Sea Race and the ARC. There are 13 events that are perfect to gain your miles for your Yachtmaster. For example the Atlantic Crossing in January from Gibraltar to Antigua. Besides that, you can cross the Channel in June, July and August.
Kraken is a stripped-out racing boat with very few luxuries, so please expect high side hot bunking, freeze-dried food – as the galley consists of a sink and 1 camping stove for boiling water and a very exciting gimbled heads!
On Kraken we like to be fully inclusive and give amateur sailors the chance to participate in all aspects of sailing the boat – we can assure you; you will not just be sitting on the rail.

Kraken, The Volvo 70 Ocean Race Yacht is a class of racing yachts designed for the Volvo Ocean Race. It was first used in the 2005–06 race and replaced the Volvo Ocean 60 Yachts, which were first raced in 1993. The Volvo Ocean 70 uses a Canting keel which is capable of canting transversely up to an angle of 40 degrees. According to the VO70 rule, the yachts can be made from glass fibres, aramid fibres, or carbon fibres. Kraken is made of Carbon Fibre. The Volvo Open 70 race rules are similar to those of a Formula One race team, as there is not a specific yacht design but a set of rules which competing yachts need to adhere to.
It is now possible for you to join one of the two races in the Caribbean that are still available
