Steve Travis, Les Voiles de St.Barth 2018
As far as boat – What I can say is that it was very well prepared, everything worked well. The crew, composed of Clint, Jack and Ché fit in very well with everyone of my crew. They participated when needed and stood back and let us do our job also. They were certainly an addition to the group.
As I own a similar TP52, the layout was very much the same, so our learning curve was possibly not as steep as some crews that might not have a TP52 in their background. We are all amateurs and Clint deals very well with that type of program.
Clint has done a very good job setting up the boat so handling is very easy – the mast is in the right position, no load on the helm, etc. The running rigging was all in top shape.
I have chartered boats for two CORK week’s in Ireland and five Cowes week’s and this was right at the top of high quality!!
The sails are generally in very good shape and I know that Clint has a few newer ones coming that will replace a couple of the ones we used. We are both fortunate that we can buy used TP52 sails in extremely good condition form the Med cup circuit.
I can highly recommend the experience!!
